The founder of Ecosolis, A. Emre AKEL (PhD), completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at the Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University, and earned his Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). He now holds a Ph.D. in Management and Organization, specializing in Strategic Management, which he earned at Ankara Social Sciences University,
A. Emre AKEL began his professional career in 2005 at Sun Consultancy, working on project development and writing projects for EU Grant Programs. In 2006, he transitioned to the public sector, where he worked in the Ministry of Economy (formerly the Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade), holding positions as Associate Foreign Trade Expert, Foreign Trade Expert, Branch Manager, and Advisor to the Minister.
In 2018, he served as Programme Policy Officer acting as Deputy Head of Operations at the United Nations World Food Programme Ankara Office. Afterwards, he took on the role of Head of the Halal Accreditation Department at the Halal Accreditation Agency, where he was responsible for establishing the department. He then worked at the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, at the Board of Economic Policies, as the Rapporteur of the Board overseeing the establishment and management of the technical infrastructure.
In early 2020, he was assigned as the Head of the Foreign Affairs Department at the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Finance Office, where he was the founder of the Department, in which he established and managed the Turkish foreign missions.
In late 2023, A. Emre AKEL decided to continue his career in the private sector and founded Ecosolis Management and Sustainability Consultancy, where he currently serves as the General Manager.
